Meet Maya.
She has already read your results.

Not a chatbot with an exam skin. Maya opens with what your last mock says is the priority, plans the week, sends you to the exact drill, and remembers what she told you last time. In your language.

  • Knows your last mock, your target, your exam date and your weakest task types
  • AI feedback and explanations on every answer, before you even ask
  • Replies in 51 languages, from Hindi and Punjabi to Arabic, Haitian Creole and Wolof

Sample lesson
  • Last mock Speaking 7 · Writing 9 · Reading 10 · Listening 9
  • Target 9 in all four
  • Exam in 24 days
  • Weakest Speaking

Why is my speaking stuck at 7?

Both mocks lost most in Task 3, describing a scene: you ran out of things to say after 40 seconds and paused five times. That is a structure problem, not a vocabulary problem.

Today
  • Three scene descriptions, one minute each, using the four-part structure
  • Then Task 5 once, timed, and send it to me

Did you do the two email tasks we planned on Tuesday?

What it knows before you say hello.

A tutor who has never seen your mock can only give general advice. This one has read all of it.

  • Your last mock and every practice answer

Not just the scores: the actual answers, so it can say “in your second essay you argued the wrong side” rather than “work on writing”.

  • Your target and your exam date

It counts the days and plans backwards from them. If the target is not realistic for the date, it says so.

  • Your weakest and strongest task types

By the exam’s own task names, ranked by the marks they cost you, from the same data your report uses.

  • What it told you last time

Every lesson starts where the previous one ended: what was assigned, what you did, what moved.

  • The exam you are sitting

PTE Academic, PTE Core, IELTS, CELPIP, DET or TCF Canada: its scale, its timers, its task names. Nothing is generic.

AI feedback on every answer, before you ask.

The teacher is the conversation. The feedback is everywhere else: every answer you give is explained the moment it is scored.

  1. 01

    Every speaking answer

Scores per component on the exam scale, the words coloured by how they were heard, stress and pace called out, and one tip per component — plus the expected pronunciation in IPA next to yours on PTE read-aloud and TCF French read-aloud.

  2. 02

    Every writing answer

Grammar and spelling errors marked where they happen with the correction, six writing dimensions scored separately, a tip for the one that cost most.

  3. 03

    Every reading and listening question

Why the right option is right and why yours was wrong, for that question, not a tip that fits every question of the type.

  4. 04

    Summaries and retells

The key points you covered and the ones you missed, with a sample answer to compare against.

  5. 05

    Every mock

Marks lost per task type, weakest first, time per question, and the three things to fix before the next one.

  6. 06

    Your mistake bank

Wrong answers are filed by task type and come back on a spaced schedule until you get them right twice.

Scored by our own engine, per criterion on every speaking answer and sound by sound on read-aloud. How the engine works

Lessons, not chat.

  • It opens with the priority

The first line of every lesson is what your results say matters most right now, then one question about it.

  • It assigns, then checks

Drills with counts and a reason, from your exam’s own task list. Next time it asks whether you did them.

  • It remembers

The last lesson is part of the next one. No re-explaining, no starting from zero.

  • It speaks your language

51 of them — Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, French, Bengali, Tagalog, Persian, Haitian Creole, Wolof and more — and you can switch mid-lesson.

Questions students ask

Take the free mock first

The teacher needs a mock to read. The first one is free.

Is Maya a real teacher?

Maya is an AI teacher, grounded in your own results and answers, so what it says about you is specific and checkable against your report. Institutes on Hilingo pair it with their human teachers, who get a one-page briefing built from the same data.

What does it actually see?

Your mocks, your practice answers and their scores, your target and exam date, and the previous lessons. It does not see other students and nothing about you is shared.

Can it hear me speak?

Lessons are written. Your speaking is scored by our engine on every answer — sound by sound on PTE and TCF read-aloud, and per criterion everywhere else — and the teacher reads those scores and the words you struggled with.

Which exams?

PTE Academic, PTE Core, IELTS Academic and General Training, CELPIP-General and General LS, the Duolingo English Test and TCF Canada, each with its own task names and scale. OET, TEF Canada and LanguageCert follow when those exams go live.

What does it cost?

Every paid plan includes a weekly allowance of lessons; one lesson is one credit and the conversation inside it is free. Packs top it up. The free tier includes the mock and the report, not the teacher.
